Your mentor.
Forged from the people you'd learn from.

MentorForge builds you a private AI mentor calibrated to the thinkers, operators, and makers whose minds you respect. It lives where you live, remembers what matters, and shows up on a cadence you set — because the best mentors aren't on demand, they're on a rhythm.

Atlas

The self-development council.

Thomas's personal MentorForge instance — the first mentor we forged and the one we still tune from. Calibrated to the thinkers and operators he chose as influences, it runs across web, messaging, and voice with one memory. Your version studies your people, not his.

Delta

The AI-field council.

Watches forty signal sources across the AI field — frontier labs, researchers, arXiv, framework releases, community — and surfaces only what matters, every claim cited. A mentor built to keep you current in a field that moves weekly.

Berea

An investigative scripture-study companion.

Triangulates across Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, and the witness of multiple traditions without picking a tribal side. Named for the Bereans of Acts 17:11, who examined everything they were told.

Compass

An analyst that reads the economy with you.

A chat-first macro analyst that pulls signals from markets, monetary policy, and credit conditions into a single conversation — and flags when the picture changes. A mentor for decisions with money on the line.

Yours.

Calibrated to the people you'd want to learn from — not ours. That's what the forge below is for.

// How it works

Five layers. One mentor.

We won't show you the schematics. We will show you the surfaces — the five layers a real mentor system needs to feel like a mentor instead of a search engine in a bathrobe.

01 / LAYER

Influence library

You pick the people. Thinkers, operators, creatives, mentors — anyone whose patterns you'd want to inherit. We curate the source material together.

02 / LAYER

Knowledge fabric

Their work is woven into a private retrieval layer your mentor draws from. Not a chatbot summarizing Wikipedia — a deep, structured read of who they are and how they think.

03 / LAYER

Conversation surface

Your mentor lives where you live. Web, iMessage, Telegram, Slack, voice notes. Same memory across every channel. Same voice.

04 / LAYER

Daily operations

Morning briefings. Evening reflections. Calendar-aware nudges. Weekly reviews that actually review. Your mentor runs on the rhythm of your life.

05 / LAYER

Private. Yours.

Your conversations are yours. Your data is yours. Hosted by you, hosted by us, or hosted on your hardware — your call. We build the system; you own it.

// Who it's for

Mentors for the parts of your life that matter.

Operator

The founder mentor

Built around the operators you respect — Naval, Gerber, your favorite quietly-effective business owner. Helps you sharpen decisions, sequence priorities, and protect your time.

Creative

The studio mentor

Trained on the makers, writers, and designers you'd apprentice under. A daily collaborator for taste, voice, and shipping the work that's actually yours.

Athlete

The discipline mentor

Pulled from coaches, monks, and operators who've made the boring practices stick. Holds you to the cadence you said you wanted.

Parent

The family mentor

Built from elders, theologians, and parents whose families turned out grounded. Helps you think about the long arc of formation in a culture optimized against it.

// Forge a mentor

Every mentor is custom.
Scope it with us.

No two forges are the same build — the influences, the channels, the hosting, and how much you want to own it yourself all change the shape of the work. So we don't sell packages; we scope your mentor with you, then quote it flat.

01 / SCOPE

Who you'd learn from

The influences you want in the room — and what material of theirs actually exists to build from.

02 / SCOPE

How much we build vs. teach

Some people want it done for them; some want to build alongside us; some want to learn to run the forge themselves.

03 / SCOPE

Where it lives

Hosted by us, self-hosted, or on your own hardware — plus which channels and daily rhythms your mentor should run.

// FAQ

What people ask.

Is this just a chatbot with a system prompt?

No. A system prompt alone goes stale fast. MentorForge layers a curated retrieval system, character calibration, and a daily-operations rhythm on top — so the mentor stays in voice, references real source material, and lives in the channels you actually use.

Whose data does it learn from?

The influences you choose, with source material you provide or we license together. Public writing, talks, interviews, books you own. Nothing scraped without basis. We document the provenance.

Where does it live?

Wherever you want. We can host it for you, you can host it on your own server, or we can run it on hardware you own. Hosted-by-us is fastest; self-hosted is most private.

What if my influences don't have a lot of public material?

We work with what you have — interviews you've recorded, notes you've taken, books they've written. Sometimes the strongest mentors are people who only left a few hundred pages of work. Concentrated material is easier to channel.

Can I add or change influences later?

Yes. The library is modular. We can layer in new voices, retire ones that aren't pulling weight, and rebalance over time as your taste changes.

Is this what Atlas is?

Atlas is Thomas's personal MentorForge instance — built around the people he chose, and the first mentor we forged. It's one of the four forged mentors on this page, all in private beta. MentorForge is the service that builds your version.
